good information on advertising. seems to me that you can get a lot of free advertising just by posting pertinent comments on others blogs.

@Julie - With regards to old media advertising the best thing that worked for us was printing about 2000 pamphlets and then putting them in everyones post boxes. That seemed to work quite well even though it is a lot of work (we had to place in the boxes ourselves... it took a while!!)
@Josh - Totally correct, although what I do is leave my twitter url in the comments. I should do a whole episode on that reasoning.

just teasing :). That was a good post! How about advertising outside of the web, like news papers, phone books, calling cards, etc. How much do you think paper advertisement helps you guys?
