I totally agree!! The best and worst client has got to be your own self. I'll be sure to put this tip into practice.

that was the longest "short n sweet" ever.... LOL but ye...it is a good idea to put in your own work, as prospective clients want to see what you can do and if you have decent judgement of what works without having had someone edit or ask for changes.
thing is...you also need to know that your "own" work is good enough to put in. so you'd need to get OBJECTIVE feedback from someone who's judgement you trust. I do alot of logo's. and I've taken alot out of my portfolio, even tho i like them, because i've had an OBJECTIVE opinion that it didn't work. sad i know. lol
People forget that less is more. rather elaborate on something that is GREAT, than skim over alot of FAIRLY good stuff.
rant rant.
not that my portfolio is fantastic..... i just had an opinion and thought id share... :P

I never considered adding your own projects to a portfolio as a wrong idea. I definitely agree with you guys that adding these allows potential clients to see the best you (and it doesn't matter if you are a graphic designer or a coder). Nice tip. Thanks for it.

@Tracylee - Thanks for the thought sharing dear ;)
@Adam - Welcome on board mate, hope we can keep you entertained for a while to come.
@Frujo - Good point, it doesn't have to stop at designers only, us coders can also get involved in this too!
