David and Marc give you a run down of what they think are the most important aspects of growing your twitter following.
The tips are:
- Leave your twitter url in comments
- Converse with people
- Retweet valuable posts
- Ask for help and give help
- Don’t get too personal, I don’t want to know about your rotting foot ;)
- Treat everyone equally, whether they have 1 follower or 15000, it makes no difference
- Create a debate, ask questions and challenge opinions
- Talk about things which are on topic
- Don’t announce how many followers you have every day
- Be yourself

great tips guys! i find myself following people who are either interesting/funny, post resource links, or are friends. oh and i had to watch your video for the 10th tip because there's only 9 listed ;)

10 minutes of my time is just way too long guys ;)
That was really good post, because up until recently I really didn't get the point of Twitter. I just figured it was going to be one other annoyance like Facebook where people update pointless aspects of their life every 5 minutes...ew. And Marc I friggin' love that t-shirt. It makes me happy. Wear it for every post from now on lol

A good friend steered me your way, I'm glad he did. Good job, lads! In all the hustle and bustle I have never thought of of Tip #1, which I suspect is the best one on your list. Think I will give it a whirl. Your video made for good viewing on a lazy Saturday morning. Thanks for the helpful suggestions!
