About the Show

Today Marc and David announce the winners of the Hash One theme. We talk about the success of the theme release and the future of the Obox Signature Series.

Here is a run down of the theme release stats:

420+ comments across the web regarding Hash One
The Hash One video has far been watched 3,500 times and has been embedded 12,500 times (and counting)
From the Couch experienced a 20% jump in traffic
Obox Design experience a 15% jump in traffic
We got confirmation that the Obox Signature Series concept can work

So ladies and gents, it is time to announce some winners. As you will see from today's episode all winners were drawn randomly from a hat. Here are the are 36 lucky people (1 of the winners comes from the 100th episode competition), good luck!

Gutted :( For absolutely no reason at all I'd convinced myself that I was gonna be one of the winners. Oh well. Congrats to those who did win though! (not that you really did that much :P) Looking forward to seeing some sites up using HashOne so I can get a closer look at it.

Just thoughts -

I wonder how many winners are regular viewers or who just showed up to win something? I'm not sore for not winning (I didn't enter) but it would seem to me some kind of balance between "rewarding" (not the right word) regular viewers/commenters and trying to pull in new viewers would be appropriate.

Don't take that as a harsh criticism though - the fact you guys rocked this whole thing is impressive and powerful.

@Meredith - I hear you, we did think about that since some peeps are so good to us in terms of loyalty, but due to nature of the competition we couldn't and didn't want to bend any rules, we wanted the process to be completely random.

But we did draw some long time followers and that gave us some satisfaction.

Although you did draw long time followers, you've gained popularity by new followers, as well as for those who were mentioned from other design websites.

This was certainly a good tactic by spreading your competition to other websites. So there is no doubt that you have gained much wider audience
