About the Show
Marc attended the latest Heavy Chef session at the Media 24 building in Cape Town.
The speaker for the night was none other than Vinny Lingham who's topic was "Raising Capital for Digital Start-ups". He gave some great insight into how VC's in Silicon Valley work and also profiled his own successful startup yola.com.

I love Vinny's story - he's worked so hard to get where he is today, and he deserves all the success. Look out for lead article in upcoming Entrepreneur mag on him, Yola and his funding journey

Been a fan of FTC for a while now despite the fact that this is my very first comment. You guys rock and I really enjoy your shows!
Vinny is a great guy and has really done well with yola.com (formerly synthaSite). Good insights he gave about the humble beginnings of yola and their journey to get funding.
I like the fact that he mentioned it was started here first and that SA was the first country to launch that type of business...so let's hear it for all the small guys out there with really great ideas!
Again, thanks for showing us the whole talk! Really appreciated!
