About the Show
As a follow up to yesterday's post we talk about finding the time to blog and also mention how we balance work and life.
At the end of the day it is down to what you call life. Is your work your life? Then there is no need to find a balance.

Sounds like a WILD roller coaster ride... 'BLERKING'! I shall try this 'blerking', Vodka and 'vlerking'. Well not so much the 'vlerking' with Vodka. I guess you would call that 'Vlerdka' (you dudes should " that before it catches on.)
Thanks for the tips, response and requests (same thing really). I will work and learn. I guess it's making a routine more than setting boundaries.
Have a good (lekker) weekend dudes. Steed
PS Thanks for the link! It is Friday after all.

Hi, I followed you guys since September last year, I enjoy your blogging and you just convinced me to finally start my own blog ^^
Cheers.

Well if you guys ever decide to give up web design Marc you could definately host Balkonolgy or "Clearly" Smirnoff parties! Davids got a mini-Elvis hairstyle going.. kidding it looks normal to me, a lil puff at the back but what can you do? ;) Another great vblog!

Hey David when you become all rich and famous you can hire a "hair poofer" to make sure you are ready for camera. ha ha ha
Okay, now I think I opened myself up for comments about my hair or command of English on Fridays now, oops.
Seriously, I so agree that you really need to make the time - it makes such a difference to the growth and reach of you/your business. I do not separate myself from the biz personal side, as I love what I do too. Hard to compartmentalize them. Take time to keep a balance, but make sure you focus when you are working - eliminate distractions, and when you take a few moments to blog/vlog have fun. That kind of break in the day is a good way to refresh and blow off the stress.
Well done again guys - by the way, I am loving' the t-shirts - I think you should make a custom one for "from the couch" and auction off or use as giveaways (like you have nothing else to do right)
Later

@Steedles - Pleasure dude, thanks for the Content!
@David - That is AWESOME!
@Talya - We always tease Marc that he should have been a voice actor. Seriously, he can do ANY accent (well almost any, I don't want to call him out here :P ).
@Kimberly - We were in the process of getting T-Shirts made but then diverted that budget to advertising... maybe we will 're-divert' one day. Who knows. Thanks for commenting!

@David (not Perel ;) )- That's awesome man, glad to be an inspiration!
@Steedles - I second Dave there, thanks for the inspiration

Here's another question: how do you figure out what to blog about; how do you know what people want to hear, with out being boring or repeating what other popular blogs are blogging about?... that's what I have trouble with, thus I have not launch very far into blogging. Where do you find a balance between making it like a public discussion and not making it too personal. Sometimes I find blogs are too personal and become almost like diaries...you know?
done rambling. :)
Cheers, Julie

@Julie - To be dead honest we often have no clue what we are going to talk about. We often think our shows suck but people seem to be enjoying them. We have a theory that with /-8 billion people on this planet there is bound to be 1000 who like you. So stop stressing about being boring... just be yourself ;)

I found your show and I love the mix of episodes. Keep them coming. Thanks again.
Simon 29 Mar, 2009 03:54:11 AM
@Julie - I totally agree with David! Don't think too hard on what you are going to blog about because this will almost always end up making blogging a mission for you. Just blog about whatever you feel has caught your attention most recently.
When I started my blog (www.simondavo.com) around Aug08 it started off nicely but ended up in it being too much of a hassle because I was constantly mulling over what I was going to write about; and hence it killed my blog! But I have only recently started it again, and am dead keen on keeping it going!
Don't think too hard! Just blog.... GOOD LUCK! Cheers
