About the Show
Just read an article on Wired stating that blogging is dead. In this Epside we mention why Wired has the Wire around its neck and is starving it of oxygen... Are they kidding? To put this Episode in a nutshell... we don't agree....

1:30: Enter Marc to get a glass of water. :P haha...check the mirror. :P
Definitely agree with what you guys are saying here. A point to note as well is that in terms of technology and the internet, South Africa is seemingly only catching on recently to the power and benefits of tools such as blogging...while the US, UK, etc have had faster and more internet access for longer and could, therefore, perceive blogging in a different light.
Just my 2 cents. Great vlog post guys. :)

whilst I do agree with you on most of the points in the video, I think an important point that the wired article makes, is that it is very hard to get noticed or taken seriously, when blogging which was once a personal thing, and almost "elitest" due to the fact that their werent millions of people doing it. If you look at the Wordpresss top blogs of the day, constistenly its CNNs, Anderson Cooper from CNN, -amp- Greta Van Susteren, and itdstrue, how is it possible that your normal-average-joe-with-an-opinion will ever be noticed when the web is now saturated with blogs that arent really blogs as much as they are marketing campaigns by businesses and run by professionals, whos job is purely to churn out new posts?
I do actually on some points agree that unless you have alot of time and can create a quality product there is absolutely no point in setting up a blog, UNLESS you use the other tools such as twitter, flickr and facebook to alert your friends to the fact that you have now have a new post up.. Those sites will never compare with blogs because their content is limited but they are all great to use for marketing/ self-promotion! totally agree that the blog as you said should be the "hub" whilst the others are "side bar" links..
