About the Show
In today's tutorial David shows you how to create the 'Gina Effect' in Fireworks CS4.
The reason I have called it the Gina Effect is because I couldn't find the proper name for the effect and I was inspired by the BMW Gina Concept car.
Enjoy.

Pretty cool. I personally like the Gina Effect. It makes it sound like a movie or a weather pattern.

I've always pronounced gaussian; gow-zi-an, although that's not to say I am right :-)
Like the name Gina effect though

Am I the only one that reads "Gina" as "g-eye-nah"?
It got my attention, anyway..

@Myows, @Joyage - Pleasure guys!
@Devlin - It sure doesn't sound like a graphics effect. Do you think we have coined a phrase here?
@Dave - I was so worried about my pronunciation that I wasn't going to create the video. Luckily I changed my mind.
@Jayphen - Nope, one or two people on twitter also picked up on it. I only noticed after I had posted it online, I thought 'Oi, I hope no-one gets offended'.
@Josh - Thanks for that, appreciate it :)
@Loswl - Cool! Good luck with the effect man.
This is a really cool response to our video. Thanks to everyone who has taken time out to drop a comment.

According to Merriam-Webster, this is how they pronounce Gaussian:

@Chris - Thank you ;) I am going to have a listen to that pronunciation right away!!!
amosharper 11 Mar, 2009 23:55:48 PM
That's be gow-see-an (au as in 'cow'), from the German word/name 'Gauss'.
I like it, thanks.

Ha ha ha... I think I have always misspelled that blasted word! Nevertheless, thanks for the tutorial. It's great to learn new techniques for special effects.
Thanks again!
