When you send the mood board to your client, what formats do you usually send it in?

Hey! I find your tutorials super super useful and interesting, congratulations for doing that! If you don't mind, I would just like to suggest shorter videos :) there are times when you're curious but busy and don't have almost 10 minutes to kill that curiosity! But still, very useful subjects, thank you!

Funkey :) I like the circle idea to placehold people, that's a good one!

...the intro to your videos is way too long. There's nothing wrong with using the trope of tv static/changing channels, etc, but here it's three times too long to be cool. Maybe four times. (Seriously.)
It's the video equivalent of having an extra inch of empty header at the top of a web page...you guys would shoot yourselves before you did that.

@A Minor Note - I must disagree with you there. The static lasts only 5 seconds, we then need to display the shows title which is also 5 seconds. That gives you a 10second intro, which if you compare to other online shows is actually quite short.
We planned it down to the 10th of a second (no lies there), so I would not call it 'leaving an extra inch of empty header' because that would mean no planning.

WOW, I just a few hours to see the training site linda.com on wireframe and planning of websites, but has not addressed the mood board or wireframe as their training is an interesting (for the most recent chapters, it has a it seems a complete introduction to the laity as the internet works), which I mentioned is more of how to disassemble a site up, I think very cool and instructive, and help in the traffic of your blog, your tutorials.

It's good to see that someone else goes stright to the software instead of the pen and paper route all the time. I always work this way and I personally find it to way more of an efficient use of time. It's far more flexible and gives you a far better and more accurate version of your thought process.

@Afovea - 100% mate, the one thing I struggle with is visualising a site on a piece of paper. I have to go straight to the screen almost 100% of the time because I feel that a) it's quicker and b) more accurate and easier to modify.

Excellent tip! I'm also working on a site myself, and the knowledge gained from your screencast has really helped.

Perfect timing. Just pitched a new client for an extensive site redesign. I'll be using some of these tips when creating the wireframe. Thanks for the post! Kevin www.HEAVYGIANT.com @heavygiant

I really enjoyed this video and others on your site. I thought the length was just fine as well. In an ideal world perhaps the separator lines would have already been pre-darkened (video prep or editing) but it it's the difference between you guys fitting the video into your schedule or not it's a very minor thing! One must weigh cost of production and rate of return after all...

Best time for this! I was making a wirefrime right now and I stopped everything. Let's learn from the masters :)
